Our Teachers

Miss Tracy, our head teacher, comes to education as a second career, her first being research science. Miss Tracy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin and worked for many years in medical research. After several years of full time parenting when her own children were little, she began her teaching career in a Montessori school working first with 3-6 year olds, then with a 6-9 year old class over a four year period. After serving as a substitute teacher at Bright Beginnings for a year, she joined our staff full time in 2003. Tracy’s great love for young children and her joy in working with them have made her a great asset to our program. She works hard to bring out the best in children with diverse needs and learning styles. Tracy fills her classroom with a rich variety of fun, creative learning materials specifically designed to target the needs of children at various developmental stages and prepare them for success in kindergarten. She holds her 3-6 year old certification from the United Montessori Association.

Miss Liz will be returning to assist with our mixed age morning class.
Miss Liz has a BA in English and spent many years in management in the business world in customer relations. She joined our staff in 2006 after serving several years as a home daycare provider while raising her own two children, both of whom attended Bright Beginnings. Her calm and gentle ways make her a great favorite of the children.
Mr. Mike returns to Bright Beginnings after assisting in the Science and Nature Explorer’s Club since 2005. Mr. Mike, a Warwick native, is the primary caregiver for his two school-aged sons (both of whom attended Bright Beginnings) and has a special interest in helping children enjoy the natural world around them and learn about science. Michael has a BA in History. Previously, he worked for Pennings Orchard and Heaven Hill Farm coordinating school field trips. Michael has taught the Kindergarten Sunday School class at the Warwick Methodist church and currently serves there as one of the Christian Education coordinators as well as a leader of Adult Bible Studies. Additionally, he coaches T-Ball and soccer in Warwick. Michael and his wife Gale live in Warwick with their two young sons.
Miss Eilleen enjoys bringing Spanish to our preschool through her passion for art and music.  Her lessons are a journey from singing and signing to dancing and games.  The children love to play her guitar as they sing songs she’s created just for them as well as songs they’ve helped create.
She never dreamed that her education in architecture would lead her to singing and dancing with three and four-year-olds, but when she began to teach her own children it just “clicked.” She taught Spanish privately and at another preschool before Bright Beginnings, but has called Bright Beginnings home since 2006. Miss Eilleen and her family are active members of the Warwick United Methodist Church and both her sons are Bright Beginnings graduates.
All of our teachers are CPR certified and have undergone a careful background check.
